The SOF LOVES reader tips, and this is one of the finest to date.
The Air Guitar Championships. Everybody's doing it...seriously. How many times have you been caught driving while air guitaring. (several). These zealots took their act on the road at the International AGC Series, all earning their 15 minutes of rock out fame.
*Rumor has it AGC favorite William Ocean smashed a full can of beer with his butt...now that's serious. We have reason to believe these rumors are true. He does have "Air" shaved into his chest hair after all*
Here are the Air Guitar Chamionship Rules:
The US Air Guitar Championships obey the rules set forth by the Air Guitar World Championships:
- Each performance is played to one minute (60 sec.) of a song chosen by the competitor or organizers
- The 60 seconds can start anywhere in the song
- The instrument must be invisible and must be a guitar, i.e. air drums are not permitted
- Air roadies are allowed, but they must leave the stage before the performance begins
- Back-up bands (air or real) are not allowed
The winner receives round trip airfare to the International Air Guitar Championships in Finland this August (and don't forget the place he/she earns in our hearts.)
