petition to keep pluto a planet / love letter to pluto

dear astronomers,

i was very sad to hear that you are revoking pluto's planethood. having sat through one of your 101 classes, i can say with great certainity that this makes less sense than those pesky physics equations.

so, pluto has a bit of a codependancy problem with neptune. it likes to overlap its orbit, trip it up a little bit. keep it on its toes, you might say.

and yes, poor pluto did have a little bit of difficulty keeping up with the curve set by the other 8 planets. how could you be so planetist as to refer to this slightly irregular planet as a DWARF planet.

disgrunetedly yours,
nicole s.

Dear Pluto,
I've never been very good at goobyes.
"My Very Eager Mother Just Served Us Nine Pickles" MVEMJSUNP. Goodbye, sweet acronym. The days of our eager mothers serving us nine pickles is ending (you know how we feel about pickles), and whatever she has on her updated bill of fare, it'll never be the same.

MVEMJSUN

It just doesn't feel right.

Forever a Pluto Planet Supporter,
Jestodd of Fun
