So we've been a little T.O.ed at our old friend Doug Coupland for his lackluster literary performance over the past few years with titles that all but disappointed such as
JPOD and
Eleanor Rigby. An Idea: I reviewed the latter for our media alma mater The Inside Beat and gave it a generous C+. Very Generous. This from a former "wait in line for 2 hours to meet Douglas Coupland and then almost throw up on his shoes" fan.
His latest mutation is an art exhibit entitled
The Penguin. This with a follow up called
Fifty Books I Have Read More Than Once is an interpretation of books that "haven't been read by anyone in a decade". Doug, the artist, has gathered a collection of old Penguin paperbacks and has torn, snipped and pasted with the best of them to create something new.
Check it outLove
