bring the spirit of lunch into your everyday life

how did we get so fun, you might ask. it wasn't easy, that's for sure. becoming the spirit of fun was the result of tireless adventures, including but not limited to supersleuthing and 4 a.m. faux oreo eating. but you too can bring the spirit of fun into your life by trying one of these simple activites:

* creative sushi lunches: you can do a location theme with your roll selections (boston and alaskian highly recommended) or stage a battle (godzilla can attack boston)

* postcard mailing: lots of resturants or stores give out free postcards that serve as little more than a shitty marketing campaing. cross out the blatant advertising and personalize the card for a friend who needs the most unexpected cheer. snail mail is totally hot right now.

* art hour: the saddest thing about growing up is giving up the fun stuff that suddenly becomes socially inappropriate if you're not an artist of some sort. kick back a couple of beers and fingerpaint or throw on that cd you can barely hear above the commuting noise and color. it does wonders for the soul, i swear.

* indiana jones it: make plans and don't mapquest/hopstop/ask for directions. you'd be surprised to realize how much you know about a given area when left to fend for yourself. just like the pilgrims.
