kid tested, mother approved

about a year or so ago, back before she was internet fluent, my mom asked me to purchase her a game called "CLR" over the internet. it proved damn near impossible. the more she tried to the explain it, the harder it became to find it. the game was simply void of unique googable keywords.

eventually, we found on it on shitty should have been designed in 1997 website under the name "LCR". we bought three sets - one for my uncle, one for my aunt and one for my mom.

nearly 365 days later, everyone in our family is TOTALLY addicted to it. the premise is very simple - each player starts with three chips (or quarters - which is what we play for). you roll the set of three dice and do what it tells you - move one left, one right, one center, or hold onto if you get a dot. there's minimal thought involved, which leads to nice conversation. if you're feeling particularly frisky, you can penalize players for cursing. in our family, that doubles the pot!

sets are available for $5 at amazon. don't forget to pick up a cute change purse to take home your winnings! this one gets the SOF stamp of approval, even if it is over 5x the cost of the game.

I LOVE LRC..or LCR...we just call it Left, Right, Center. It's so addicting and we play it every time we're at our friend's house. We raise the stakes and use 3 dollar bills instead of chips...totally an illegal gambling ring, but shhhh. :)
