If you're reading this, you're invited to our party on Saturday. If you're reading this, you probably already knew about it. We've sortof been planning it our entire lives. With Dan's experience with parties and my experience with wanting to be an inventor, we thought it only right to have a 300 pound block of ice delivered to our house on Saturday so that we could fashion an ice luge that would go down in Collingswood history. Only problem...we didn't really know how to make said luge. While we've both been at the bottom of the block as the cool cool liquid slid down our throats (woah), we had never had the ice luge prep and brainstorming meetings of the mind that were our reality in past weeks. Nerds? Word.

So yesterday I set out on the google trail to find some sound advice deep in the heart of the internet. You know when you have to dig through websites that you know aren't real, but sometimes they result in some hidden helpful content? That's where we are at this stage in the game. I've clicked on links and praised the spyware protection gods above more than I'd like to admit. In my efforts, I've found the following nuggets of knowledge.

While our mission is similar, our block of ice is already being made. Instead, we've made up our own steps:
1. Put together the luge table
2. Get some schlub to agree to set ice block up on said table
3. Cinderblock the front of the block and place cinderblocks under the back bottom corners of the block for that down home tilt sensation
4. Use some electronic tool that Greg Howard has to carve channels...make sure the channels aren't too curvy
5. Pour water down channels to test
6. Pour something delicious down channels to test
7. Serve Chilled. Enjoy.
We're hoping it works. If it doesn't, we'll have to resort to this thing for next time.
Send me your tips.
Love,
Jes
