it's sad, but true. i grew up in a cement jungle, where everything was accessible by foot and you grew up knowing that you'd be commuting to manhattan via light rail, train or ferry.
it wasn't until i went to rutgers that i realized, oh, i might one day have to drive a car to get somewhere. i've tried numerous times, but usually seem to get as far as passing the permit test before some other more pertinent issue rises. well, now i live in a town where owning and operating a motor vehicle is a huge hassle. not that i'm licensed to do that.. but still.
lately, i've had dreams of riding a bicycle. maybe because i am trying to find a way to exercise more frequently without having to physically go to the gym. so it was serendipity that electrabike was featured in the bust newsletter. a shop near my folks place sells them, so i plan to oogle the $220 non-handbreaked bike in person this weekend.
do you bicycle? of course you do, survey says that 99% of our readership grew up or currently lives in grass filled neighborhoods. what's your bike of choice and, most importantly, where can i buy a helmet?

Oooh. You know how I feel about my Pink Trek Beach Cruiser. Why, it's the love of my life given to me a Christmas ago by the other love of my life. Please note that all bikes deserve a proper basket. Mine is white and Pete-sized. duh. Bring your bike on September 8. I doubt NJ Transit will give you trouble. Okay? Thanks. <3
