the importance of search keywords

as i sat on hold for dhl, i started to wonder what i would wear to my upcoming saturday chock full of soirées. i won't have any clean skirts left, if these 100 degree days continue, but i doubt it will be cool enough to resort to jeans.

my gut instinct is to search for a sleeveless, hooded, a-line dress made of sweatpants material. have i seen something like this? no. am i endowed with the ability to make something like that out of nothing before the weekend? not really. oh, i say to myself, that sounds like the sort of thing i could get at forever 21 - which is always chock full of dresses i wear once and just once because afterwards they fall to pieces.

nada.

okay, i say, what about that polka dot dress from fred flare i really wanted to wear for my birthday except it was never even offered in my size? totally sold out of course, but what did i expect with something SO CUTE.

nicole, just google polka dot sundress, right? you'll find SO many options. oh, good point part of my brain that thinks the answer to life is simply to google it.

except, well, let's just say the choices weren't exactly what i thought they would be.

exhibit a
exhibit b
exhibit c

no, seriously, these are all first page google results. next time, i'll be a little bit more specific.
